Curate Your Reality
We live in a world where literally everyone has a different reality, due to every experience being unique to them, from the most simple to the most complex, like taking a nature walk or attending a university lecture. The good news (?) is that everyone is in control of their reality. We all know that everything is vibrating at various frequencies, but did you know that you can control your vibratory state? YOU can chose what you keep as memory and what you discard. Thoughts & focus create and YOU are in control of your thoughts and focus.
- Multi-Reality Proof - everyone perceives everything differently and perception IS reality.
- The Importance of Positivity - an introduction to Polarity and why your natural state is happiness
- How to Curate Your Reality - manage your focus and increase your frequency. Every cell in your body is vibrating and higher frequencies lead to happiness and well-being, while lower frequencies lead to unhappiness and even illness

Multi-Reality Proof
Back to LinksImagine that there is a tree outside and it is possible for two people to look at it at the same time, from the same position. They touch it in the same spot with the palm of their hand. They hear the tree's leaves rustle in the wind. Can they see and touch and hear the same tree? No.
No two people see the same colors the same way. Similarly, people's sense of touch and sense of hearing are different.
In addition, their body's physical response will be different, since their thoughts as they experience the tree are different. For example, one may be recalling a happy memory of a picnic under a similar tree, while the other may be recalling almost getting struck by lightning while sheltering under a tree in a storm. Memories have a physical effect on the body, releasing various chemicals & hormones.
Even if the two people were identical twins, the above would be true, because their experiences diverge from the moment the cells split in the womb, as one baby's position in the womb is different than the others, thus they will have a different in utero experience. Upside down vs right side up or left side vs right side. Does the mother sleep more on her left or the the right? When she listens to music every evening from her favorite chair, where are the speakers positioned? Which baby is born first? At birth every newborn's experience is different, twin or not. The experience is different, creating a different individual, and this accelerates from birth onward.
So if no two people can perceive the same tree, dog, car, breeze, bath, etc in the same way and perception is reality, then every person is experiencing a different reality. Let that sink in.
The Importance of Positivity
Back to LinksThere has been a strange trend in the media over the past few years that you may or may not have noticed. It's an attempt to normalize misery as an acceptable state of being with the "It's OK to be unhappy" crowd.
Before you lose it ("omg! how can you not be supportive of unhappy people, you cretin!"), consider what a person's NATURAL state of being is. The perfect example of this is a healthy, well-rested, well-fed, well-treated baby. In this condition, you will NEVER find an unhappy baby. They are the most delightfully happy beings on the planet. THAT is our natural state.
Polarity
There is a concept in the Kybalion, a text based on the Emerald Tablets of Hermes Trismegistus (associated with the Egyptian god Thoth) and the ancient Hermetic Principals, of Polarity.
The idea is that we are not REQUIRED to be unhappy. Some would argue, "how can you know happiness, if you never know sadness?" Well, here is an example:
If I got a condo with a spectacular view, I would be very appreciative of the view. In fact, every time I would enter the room with the fabulous view, I would pause to notice and appreciate it. Over time, of course, I would get used to the view and stop even noticing it.
How do I regain the appreciation of that beautiful view? Is the solution to remove me from my comfortable condo and have me live in a trash-filled landfill for a while? Well, that would certainly work, but is that necessary? No, of course not! I simply have to be in control of myself and my focus and force myself to stop and SEE the lovely view again. I can rediscover it and re-appreciate it all over again.
If I am being unappreciative of the view, I simply focus on being aware of my surroundings and the appreciation of the view will return.
Similarly, it is not necessary for someone to experience unhappiness or despair to appreciate the happy times they (used to? currently?) have. A person just needs to focus on happiness.
To summarize Polarity, if you are in a state that you do not want to be in, you focus on the opposite. There is an insightful YouTube video on this topic that has excellent examples, such as:
- If you want to get rid get rid of fear, you do not focus on lack of fear, you instead focus on it's opposite, courage.
- If you want to get rid of ignorance, you can't just erase it or remove it, you instead focus on acquiring knowledge.
How to Curate Your Reality
Back to LinksMemories are created as we experience them. Physical pathways are formed in the brain. They are not, however, permanent, unless YOU make them so.
What do I mean? Well, we've all forgotten things, right? Similarly, we all have those awful memories we wish we'd forget and those wonderful memories we love to relive.
The key to keeping a memory/experience or discarding it is up to you. At first, they are in short-term memory, where, if not thought about every so often, they will be forgotten. If you never think of an experience again, you are telling your brain it is unimportant and to not devote any resources to it. In the same way, if you relive or rethink about something over and over again, your brain is getting the message that this is something to hold on to and keep handy and to put into long-term memory.
Therefore, if you want to be a happier person, give focus to happy thoughts, pleasant experiences and delightful sensations. Do not give focus to sad experiences, things that angered you or hurt you.
If you notice you have gone down a dark memory path, force yourself to focus on something else, anything else. Ideally something positive, but even focusing on the bark of that tree would help. Eventually it will become a habit to think of happier, higher energy thoughts.
As noted, memories and thoughts have a physical impact on the body. By choosing higher energy thoughts, you not only improve your state of mind, you improve your health.

Back to LinksLets explore 3 topics:
Natural Frequency
Back to topicsWe all have a natural frequency, just like when you strike a tuning fork with a mallet, or flick a crystal glass or coffee cup or whiteboard. All those are the natural frequencies
Forced Vibration
Back to topicsDid you know that you can ALTER the natural frequency of all these things (INCLUDING PEOPLE) ? If you take a tuning fork, strike it, then touch it to another object, that object will then make a noise in the forced frequency.
Things that will alter your vibratory state (unless you are aware and can counteract it):
- News & Social Media - whether it is in the form of a funny skit or a serious broadcast or TikTok or X, whatever you watch affects your vibrations for better or for worse.
- Movies and Books - Drama, horror, dystopian, romance, comedy, etc
- People around you - whether it's "an a-hole in the parking lot" or a dear friend who is always doom and gloom.
Forced Vibration Example:
Resonance
Back to topicsThis is when something is forced to vibrate, but it happens to be its natural frequency.
Individual vs Collective Reality
Your thoughts, actions, attitude, behaviors will literally resonate and attract others who are similar. The importance of this can not be overstated.
If you are focused on ideas of revenge, wrongdoing, unfairness, that is what your world and surroundings will be filled with.
If you truly wish for the world to be filled with peace and harmony, project thoughts of peace and harmony and consciously seek out others of a similar mindset,.
